Created for Fun

I thought about how to break up the heaviness of a lesson. Something that I would like as a child to see somewhere on the sheet of paper. One of my favorite stories while I was raising my three children was Whinne the Pooh. I loved watching the movies with them. I especially loved the way the animators had Pooh walking on the words of the book as the narrator told the stories. That’s where I got the idea to add layers of stories to my stories and lessons.

Every story or lesson I write will have another story hidden with in the pages. Bernie is just one of the many characters that I will be using to do that. Bernie is a kindhearted, absent minded, mischievous, cheeky chicken who shows up whenever he decides doing whatever he wants. Everything from searching for buried treasure, cooking his favorite veggie soup, or racing through the pages. He loves to learn, listen, and play. There will be a lot of playing.

Loads of imagination and wonder. Colorful, lighthearted humor, mixed with learning fun.

My hope is that Bernie brings a smile and curiosity to all who read my books.
